Delete your DIAT account

This page explains how to request deletion of your account on DIAT: Meal Scan & Calories, published by Kevin Manogarane (SIREN 992 960 054). Deletion is permanent and immediate.
From the app, in two steps
Open DIAT, go to the Profile tab, scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap “Delete my account”. You are asked to confirm before anything is erased: nothing is deleted on a single tap. If you have an active subscription, cancel it with your app store before deleting your account, because deleting the account does not stop billing.
If you no longer have access to the app
Email contact@diat-app.com from your account's email address, asking for deletion. Your request is handled within 30 days at the latest. This is the only other route: the website's My account page does not offer deletion, which happens from the app.
What is deleted
Everything, immediately and with no backup copy: your profile (name, email address, date of birth, sex, height), your meals and the foods they contain, your meal photos, your weigh-ins, your water intake, your physical activities, your favourite foods and recipes, your food reports, and the authentication account itself. None of this data is kept or archived.
Delete some of your data without closing your account
You do not have to delete everything. In the app, each piece of data can be removed individually: a meal or a food from the Journal, a weigh-in or an activity from the Progress screen, a favourite from Recipes. Removal is immediate and the data is not retained. You can also email contact@diat-app.com to request deletion of part of your data while keeping your account open: the request is handled within 30 days at the latest.
What is retained, and why
Accounting records for any subscription (date, amount, store) are kept separately from your account, for the period required by legal accounting obligations. They contain no nutrition or health data. The website's audience measurement does not identify you: it records neither cookies nor IP addresses, and is therefore not tied to your account.
Timeframe
From the app, deletion is immediate: your data is erased the moment you confirm, and your account no longer exists. By email, allow up to 30 days. After that, your account cannot be restored and your data cannot be recovered.
