1. Data controller
The controller of your data is Kevin Manogarane, sole trader (SIREN 992 960 054), reachable at contact@diat-app.com.
2. Data collected
Account data (email, name), nutritional and health data you enter (meals, weight, goals, activities), meal photos, and technical connection data. If you add one, a profile photo. If you join a coach: your appointments, the workouts your coach prepares and, with your consent, your progress photos. Health data from your phone: if you allow it, the app reads, read-only, from Apple Health on iPhone or Health Connect on Android, your steps, active energy, basal metabolic rate, weight and sleep. DIAT never writes to these apps. Your weight is added to your DIAT tracking; the other data is used on your phone for display and to calculate your targets, and only your sleep durations are sent to the AI coach when it prepares your recommendation. This data is never sold or used for advertising. You can withdraw this access at any time in your phone's settings (Health app on iPhone, Health Connect on Android).
3. Purposes and legal basis
Your data is processed to provide the Service (performance of the contract), manage your subscription and improve your experience. Health-related data is processed on the basis of your explicit consent.
4. Recipients and processors
Supabase (database hosting and authentication), Vercel (website hosting), Stripe (payments on the website), Apple and Google (in-app purchases; Apple also delivers notifications on iPhone), RevenueCat (management of subscriptions taken out in the app), Resend (sending emails) and Google (AI analysis of meals, by photo or dictation, and coach recommendations via Gemini). Your data is never sold. If you join a coach in the app, they access part of your data with your consent, only while the coaching lasts (see section 8).
5. Retention period
Your data is kept as long as your account is active, then deleted within 12 months after account closure.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, port, restrict and object. You can delete your account and your data directly from the app. For any request: contact@diat-app.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority (CNIL in France).
7. Cookies and local storage
The site sets no cookies. Audience measurement is done in-house, with no cookie, no IP address and no third-party tool: a random identifier lives for the lifetime of the tab and disappears when you close it. If you sign in, your session is kept in your browser's local storage, which is strictly necessary to keep you signed in. No consent is therefore required and there is no banner to accept.
8. Coaching
A coach subscribed to DIAT can invite you to join their coaching, by QR code or link. Nothing is shared until you accept the invitation, and the acceptance screen details what will be. During the coaching, your coach sees your name, your profile photo, your goal, your allergies and physical limitations, your weight and its trend over 90 days, your daily totals of calories and macronutrients, your workouts, the number of activities this week and whether your account is Premium. They see neither the details of your meals nor your meal photos. Progress photos are only taken if you allow them, and you can withdraw this permission at any time from your coach's page. They are stored in a private space and can only be seen by you and, as long as you allow it, by your coach. This sharing is based on your explicit consent, given by accepting the invitation. You can leave your coach at any time from the app: their access to your data and photos ends immediately and your upcoming appointments are cancelled. Your progress photos stay in your profile. Your coach keeps the history of your appointments and their own payment log, which contains no health data. If you delete your account, your profile photo and your progress photos are erased immediately, along with the workouts and notes linked to the coaching. The coach is a professional independent of DIAT and is responsible for how they use the information viewed as part of their coaching. If you are a coach, the information on your coach profile (specialty, bio, location, contact details) is visible to your clients.
